Want to see students really learn? Give them a chance to "Make" something cool--and a place to do it!

On September 10, the "MENTOR Makerspace” program will kick off its first year in U.S. schools with a special event held at the College of San Mateo. The event is part of the U.S. Department of Education's third annual back-to-school bus tour.

Our event begins with some Maker-related activities and will include remarks by officials from the U.S. Department of Education, the Makerspace initiative and other groups. Bring your enthusiasm for connecting making activities, science and technology education and hands-on learning and we'll explore how to help the Makerspace initiative blossom in our schools and libraries.
