Vice President of Instruction - Final Candidate Forums
As part of the selection process for the new vice president of instruction, the selection committee has decided to host structured forums for each of the final candidates on Tuesday, April 30 from approximately 1-5 p.m. in Building 5, Room 202. A forum of approximately one hour will be scheduled for each of the final candidates during this time block. The actual time will depend on the number of finalists that are recommended by the selection committee.
In order to best organize the forums and ensure that they are as equitable as possible for all final candidates, the same questions will be asked of each candidate. The college is invited to submit questions to the selection committee. Questions should be submitted by email to Jennifer Hughes, chair of the selection committee, no later than Friday, April 15 at 4:00 p.m.. The selection committee will review submissions and select approximately five questions that will be asked of each candidate. In selecting questions, the committee will try to ensure that a variety of topics are covered.
At each forum, Vice President Hughes, chair of the selection committee, will introduce the candidate. Each candidate will begin by providing some background information regarding his/her education and experience. Vice President Hughes will then ask the agreed upon questions. No questions from the audience will be entertained at the forums.
