Services are available to continuing students and to new and returning matriculating students who have completed the College Orientation.
Counseling Services is an essential resource to students and assists with the following:
  • sorting out and understanding educational options
  • establishing educational and career goals
  • developing a Student Educational Plan (SEP) as a guide to
    completing educational goals
  • tackling personal issues that interfere with personal and
    academic success
Counseling Workshops
Counseling Services offers a variety of workshops to assist students with their specific educational goals. These workshops are designed for students to be active and informed participants in their education.

Student Orientation & Advising Workshop Schedule

DegreeWorks and Transcript Evaluation Services
All students who plan to complete a certificate, associate degree, and/or transfer to a university should use the new DegreeWorks tool. Additionally, students who have completed coursework at a college or university outside the San Mateo Community College District should have their previous transcripts evaluated during their first semester at CSM. Dismissed Students
Are you on Dismissal Status and unable to enroll in courses? You must attend a mandatory Reinstatement Workshop. View our Reinstatement Workshop form for more information.
