Required Immunizations & Lab Tests

Please be aware that this career involves exposure to bloodbourne pathogens and diseases. Therefore, it is a Program requirement that all dental assisting students obtain and stay current with certain vaccinations and lab tests.  Learn more »

The College of San Mateo Dental Assisting Program, along with OSHA and the ADA, requires all students to obtain and keep current certain vaccinations and lab tests. Below are two links to provide the student with further information regarding what is needed to meet the Immunization requirements. The dental assisting student is required to meet these specifications prior to having any patient contact or any clinical experiences.

The above immunization form is due to the Dental Assisting Director by the 5th week of class. Details will be discussed in class as well.
