Dental Hygiene
About the Program

The College has been planning and preparing for this new program for a long time but the program has been put on hold indefinitely. Informational meetings have been suspended for the present time.

The Dental Hygiene Program will be part of the Division of Math and Science and will reside in the brand new Health Sciences Building which is being added to our campus. The Dental Hygiene Program takes two years, including two summers. The summer programs have shortened hours to allow students to work or take other classes. There are a number of prerequisite courses for the program and a number of general education courses which are required to attain the Associate of Science Degree. The Dental Hygiene student will graduate with an A.S. Degree and is eligible to take both the National Dental Hygiene Examination and the State Board Exams. Both are necessary to procure a Dental Hygiene license. Financial aid is available for students. Each year, the program will be accepting 25 students into the newest class.
