Math 111 and VARS 130

Whether you're competing in sports, academics, or the job market, nothing feels better than achieving your goals. This collaborative learning community can help by linking Elementary Algebra and Varsity Football. Students will explore the vast realm of statistics in football using order of operations, linear equations, and variables.  Students will gain a better understanding of how their team and personal statistics are computed, how to derive them on their own, and how to draw inferences. 

Prerequisites and Recommended Preparation:

MATH 111

Prerequisite: appropriate score on the College Placement Test and other measures as appropriate OR Math 811 with a grade of C or higher OR Math 802 with a grade of C or higher. 

Recommended Preparation:  concurrent enrollment in READ 830


VARS 130

Recommended Preparation:
interscholastic participation or the equivalent.
