National Library Week 2005

A mix of 15 community college and public libraries throughout the country will host writers' workshops led by writers from Woman's Day magazine on April 12, 2005, during National Library Week. The workshops are part of the "Put it in writing @ your library program," a partnership with ALA and Woman's Day to promote the wealth of opportunities that all types of libraries offer to spark writers’ imaginations and creativity and help develop a community of writers.

Woman’s Day writers will lead writers through the process of getting published in a magazine, drawing on their own experiences and specialties. The workshops are offered free and open to the public. Librarians at the sponsoring libraries will also showcase what library resources are available to help writers in their communities break into the writing business.
