Your education at College of San Mateo is part of an exciting and challenging journey. Here you have the opportunity to explore, set and achieve your educational, career and personal goals. You will challenge yourself, expand your skill and knowledge base and maximize career options to equip yourself for an ever-changing work environment. You have the opportunity to earn a Vocational Certificate, an Associate Degree or transfer to a four-year university - or all three! The process may seem frightening or frustrating or fun, or exciting. Give yourself permission to be a little bit scared, resistant, and unsure, and at the same time excited, eager, open, and willing. Believe in yourself; remember to ask for the help you need and be prepared to succeed!
At College of San Mateo the staff, faculty and administration have an unparalleled commitment to student success. "We meet students where they are at, and take them to where they need to go while holding all students to high expectations." (President Michael Claire, September, 2009)
