Reading & ESL Center

Overview

Sharpen your reading/ESL skills in a quiet and friendly environment.

In the Reading & ESL Center, you can fulfill the hour-by-arrangement requirement of your reading or ESL class or enroll in an independent, lab-only course to improve any aspect of your reading, vocabulary, or conversation.  You can:

• Develop your vocabulary
• Learn and apply spelling rules
• Improve your reading rate
• Deepen your comprehension of textbook material
• Practice pronunciation
• Practice conversation with ESL teachers and non-native speakers
• Improve note-taking and listening skills

The Reading & ESL Center is staffed by instructors and instructional aides, so you can get personalized attention.  Books and other print materials, videos, DVDs, and computer programs will also assist your instruction.
