Student Activities Event Planning
The Coordinator of Student Activities is available to assist campus organizations in the development, planning, and approval of campus programs and events. College policy questions, facilities reservations, security planning, audio/visual requests, insurance requirements, health and safety reviews, risk management planning, publicity, and other considerations for special events are coordinated through the Office of Student Life.Housing Assistance
Dormitories and other types of college-sponsored housing are not offered by College of San Mateo. However, the Office of Student Life maintains up-to-date listings of housing available in the community. The majority of listings are in private homes, but apartments and shared houses are also sometimes available. Information concerning any aspect of student government, student activities, or clubs may be obtained in the Office of Student Life. The Office of Student Life maintains current referral listings of services available through College and community agencies. We can assist students through referrals to the campus Health Center, Psychological Services, Tutorial Center, Child Development Center, and community agencies for such services as legal assistance, family planning, and women's services.Transportation Information
Bus passes, bus and train schedules, carpool matching services, maps, and general transportation assistance are available through the Office of Student Life. Additional information regarding transit services to and from CSM are also available online.Campus Posting & Time, Place and Manner Information
All signs, flyers, or similar materials must follow campus regulations regarding campus posting. Presentation of information must follow all policies regarding time, place and manner. Copies of these regulations are available in the Office of Student Life and online.
On-Campus Vending/Tabling
Opportunities to vend and table on campus are available through the Office of Student Life.
