I decided to attend CSM because I wanted to get into a top university, save on tuition, and also figure out my career. Some resources I found to be really helpful were Transfer Club, Sparkpoint, and Promise Scholars. CSM helped contribute to my success because they provided a welcoming student environment and provided free resources like free groceries. The one thing that surprised me the most about CSM was the student body. A common misconception about community college is that there is no social life, and while it's a little different here than at a 4 year university, it felt extremely welcoming and easy to make friends here. Someone considering CSM should take advantage of both job opportunities and club activities while they're here. My plan after college is to either enter the workforce and then gain a master's degree or gain a master's degree right after my bachelor's.
