I decided to attend CSM because I saw it as a chance to test the waters of a major which my parents did not know about. I wanted to do biotechnology but my parents were not familiar with that major so instead of wasting thousands of dollars at a 4 year university I went to CSM for free to try it out. Even though I switched majors to nursing I was glad that I came here. The resources which were most helpful was the promise center and the welcome center. I never knew there was so much opportunity at CSM until I joined the transfer club where I met so many students who were motivated and excited for the same things which I was. Something I would say to perspective students is that you can go anywhere from here. I am going to one of the most competitive nursing programs in the Bay Area SF State. My plans for after graduating from college are to either go back to school or to stay or to do research. Something I would tell anyone who wants to come to CSM is to get involved on campus because that is the way you can have the best experience.
