Located in the upper level of Building 9, the CSM Library supports the academic, vocational, and lifelong learning needs of its students. The library provides extensive print and online resources: approximately 71,000 volumes, more than 150 print periodical subscriptions, approximately 17,000 online periodicals. and more than 60 online resources provide access to thousands of journals, magazines, newspapers, and subject-based research sources.
The library is a member of the Peninsula Library System (PLS) which includes 31 public libraries in San Mateo County and the libraries of Skyline and Canãda colleges. As a PLS member, CSM provides access to the bibliographic records and locations of over 2,450,000 items in member libraries.
The lower level of Building 9 is home to KCSM radio and television studios and offices. Both stations were originally established as student broadcast training facilities. Today, they have professional staffs operating full service public television and radio stations and continue to serve as learning laboratories for student enrolled in the Digital Media Program. KCSM-FM has the distinction as the only station in the Bay Area with a 24-hour jazz format and is among the top 35 most listened to non-commercial stations in the United States.
