Krystal Duncan

Title: Dean of Counseling, Advising and Matriculation
Responsibilities: Supervises and supports Counseling Faculty and Staff including General Counseling, Transfer Services, Career Services, Welcome Center, Disability Resource Center (DRC), Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS), CARE and CalWORKs
Years at CSM: Since 1999
Education: B.S., Human Development, Cal Poly SLO; M.S., Counseling, San Francisco State University
Other Interests: Traveling and learning about local culture, food and activities; enjoys reading books and literature on personal and professional development; supporting people through transitions and understanding the growing changes and needs in our environment

Heather Crapo

Title: Program Services Coordinator, Student Success
Responsibilities: Conducts New Student Orientation, Reinstatement Workshops and other Student Success workshops. Works to provide information and support to students regarding achievement of their goals at College of San Mateo.

Alicia Frangos

Mike Mitchell

Title: Program Supervisor, Transfer Services
Responsibilities: Assists students with the transfer process from CSM to a four-year university
(UC, CSU and Private Universities) through workshops, events, and one-on-one consultation
Years at CSM: Since 1990
Education: Bachelor's Degree, English with emphasis in Journalism, San Francisco State University and Associate's Degree from College of San Mateo
Other Interests: Running (participated in several 10K and one half marathon run), playing tennis, working out in a gym, reading, going to movies, traveling, volunteering and mentoring with high school students at church.

Ruby Zapien-Navarro

Title: Counseling Office Assistant
Responsibilities: Assisting in Counseling Services and connecting students with vital resources on campus.
Years at CSM: Since 2016
Education: Bachelors in Sociology and Minor in Child and Adolescent Development, San Jose State University
Other Interests: I love reading, taking walks with my dog Sunny, and exploring new places through travel. I also enjoy building Legos and baking.
