Free Food & Personal Care

CSM students work hard at school, so it’s important you have the fuel to show up and perform at your best. SparkPoint offers a variety of ways for students to connect with free food to stay nourished and ready to thrive.

CSM students can pick up FREE groceries on campus, including fresh fruit, vegetables, dairy, grains, meat, shelf items, and snacks.

Please Note: the SparkPoint Free Grocery services will be unavailable beginning, May 22 through August 21, 2026 as the Grocery Center will undergo an exciting remodel. Grocery services will resume in the fall 2026 semester with a brand new look and student shopping experience. More to come!

Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties

In partnership with Samaritan House the SparkPoint Free Grocery provides grab-n-go meals for students.

Apply for CalFresh, a program that can help you get up to $250 in free grocery money every month! CalFresh benefits are loaded on an EBT card that can be used at grocery stores and other markets. CalFresh is operated by the County, and there are eligibility and documentation requirements.

Personal care can be expensive! Pick up essential care products at SparkPoint to maximize your budget.

Kits are available for pick up at the SparkPoint Free Grocery located in Building 17.

  • Personal care products -  Shampoo, conditioner, dental care products, deodorant, etc.
  • House hold essentials - Laundry detergent, toilet paper
