K–12 Education Outreach
CSM’s K–12 Education Outreach program is designed to inspire, inform, and support students from an early age as they explore pathways to college. Through strong partnerships with local schools and districts, we provide age-appropriate programming that promotes college awareness, academic readiness, and a clear understanding of the opportunities available at College of San Mateo.
Our Services Include:
- Classroom Presentations
Interactive sessions tailored for elementary, middle, and high school students that introduce college concepts, pathways, and student life at CSM. - College Application Support
Step-by-step assistance with CCCApply, CSM applications, and follow-up support to ensure students complete all necessary steps to enroll. - Concurrent Enrollment Guidance
Information sessions and hands-on help for high school students interested in earning college credit while still in school. - Participation in K–12 College & Career Events
Our outreach team regularly attends college and career fairs/events hosted by local schools and districts to share information about CSM’s programs, resources, and student support services. - Campus Tours for K–12 Groups
Coordinated visits to CSM’s campus, offering students a chance to experience college life, explore programs, and connect with current students. - Financial Aid & FAFSA/CADAA Workshops (lead by Financial Aid Outreach)
In collaboration with our local high schools, our Financial Aid program offers support to students and families navigating financial aid applications, including the FAFSA and California Dream Act Application.
